Church Family,

It was another great crowd this past Sunday! We were moving chairs in the Family Life Center to ensure we had enough seats. This is a great problem to have. I placed and order for 20 news chairs. The cost of a chair is about $50 so 20 new chairs was about a $1,000. I was sharing this news of ordering some more chairs with others and they mentioned “some may want to help with this expense and I should share”. I thought that was a great idea! If you would like do make a donation to the purchase of the new chairs please let the Lord lead you in that. Praising God for the work He is doing in our church.

Today marks the first day of the season of Lent. I invite you to join us for our Ash Wednesday service this evening at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. This service marks the beginning of our journey toward Easter, a time for reflection, repentance, and renewal.

Ash Wednesday is a significant moment in our Christian calendar. During this service, we will receive ashes on our foreheads in the shape of a cross, a powerful reminder of our mortality and the call to turn our hearts back to God. The ashes symbolize both our human frailty and the hope we find in Christ's sacrifice.

In preparation for this holy season, I encourage you to consider the following:

  • Reflection: Take time to examine your heart and life. What areas may need repentance or healing?

  • Prayer: Engage in daily prayer, seeking a deeper relationship with God.

  • Fasting or Giving: Consider giving up something that distracts you from your spiritual walk or committing to an act of service during Lent.

Our Ash Wednesday service will include scripture readings, prayers, and the imposition of ashes. It will be a time for us to come together as a community and acknowledge our need for God's grace and mercy.

I look forward to seeing each of you as we embark on this meaningful journey together. May this Lenten season be a time of profound spiritual growth and renewal for all of us.

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor Brandon
