Church family, I pray that you are having a blessed week! Please remember our youth and adults who are serving the Lord in Alaska this week! The team made it safely and has hit the ground serving. They have been serving at the Little Beaver Camp with various projects. To follow along with their trip and to see updates and pictures, click here.

This past Sunday was so encouraging to hear Zac preach God’s word. I am very proud of him, and I know that you are as well. Zac did an amazing job and preached God’s word with confidence. The message was titled "The Golden Rule," based on Matthew 7:1–12, and emphasized the importance of self-reflection and personal spiritual growth over the judgment of others. Zac outlined five key principles: refrain from judging others, engage in self-reflection before offering correction, share wisdom judiciously, maintain a consistent prayer life, and place trust in God. The central idea conveyed that Jesus encourages His followers to prioritize their own relationship with God rather than focusing on the shortcomings of others. Let us live out the golden rule daily in our lives!

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.  — Matthew 7:12 NKJV

I want to take a moment to invite you to an important upcoming service at our church. On August 5 at 6:00 PM in our Family Life Center, we will hold a special prayer service. As you know, one of our core values at St. James is to "Pray First," and this service will be a dedicated time to pray for the upcoming school year, our ministries, our fall events, and those on our prayer list. I encourage you to prioritize this special gathering and be present with us. We will provide prayer cards that evening, allowing everyone to pick up specific prayer needs and requests to focus on.

If you would like to submit a prayer request or item to be included for prayer that night, please fill out the form below.

Thank you for being a vital part of our church community. God’s word tells us —

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.  — 2 Chronicles 7:14

I look forward to seeing you there!

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor Brandon
