Church Family,

I hope this message finds you well and that your week is filled with blessings. I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we are on as a community of faith. Each week, I am reminded of the remarkable ways in which God is working in our lives, bringing hope, healing, and transformation.

This past Sunday, we concluded our core values as a church:

- Honor God

- Pray First

- Live in Community

- Make Disciples

- Serve Gladly

Sunday, I mentioned discipleship groups that will begin again in the fall. Below is more information on how to take the next step in making disciples.

This coming Sunday, we will conclude our series “This Is Us” and delve into the Church as the Body of Christ. We will examine key scriptures from 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, which emphasize the interconnectedness of the church as a body composed of many parts. As members of this body, we are united in Christ, and each of us plays a vital role in the Body of Christ.

12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13 NKJV

I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who generously contributed canned goods to restock our blessing box. It’s truly a blessing to bless others, and we genuinely appreciate your unwavering support.

I’ll be traveling to Birmingham from tomorrow through Saturday for the North Alabama Global Methodist Church annual conference. This is always an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow conference attendees and to hear from our esteemed Bishop, as well as many other influential leaders.

Below, I’m thrilled to share some exciting information about our upcoming summer series.

As you’re aware, we’ve decided to take a break from our Wednesday night meals this summer. I will be providing small-group discussion sheets to accompany our summer series, which will begin in June. This will give an excellent opportunity to gather over a meal or invite someone to your home. My hope is that the sermon small group guide will foster a sense of community and allow us to delve deeper into the sermon series together.

We’re also excited to announce some fantastic events this summer:

- On June 24th, we’ll be hosting our churchwide fish fry.

- VBS family night will be held on July 15th.

- Concluding the summer, we’ll have a movie night on July 29th, where we’ll watch “Overcomer” accompanied by homemade ice cream.

Both our kids’ and youth ministries have some exciting events planned throughout the summer to inspire and encourage them. Please take the time to review all the details below.

Summer may bring some changes to our Wednesday meetings, but we still have incredible opportunities to strengthen our community and keep our church vibrant. Additionally, there’s a summer Bible study on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. that focuses on a general survey of the Bible. You’re more than welcome to join us.

Blessings in Christ,
