Church Family,

I pray that your week is blessed!

I am excited about our upcoming fish fry on June 24 at 6 pm. This will be a great time of fellowship for the whole family. We are beginning to make plans now and need a few people willing to serve that evening. We need one more fish fryer, 3 more men to help fry fish, and servers. We are also looking for some who would be willing to provide a few desserts. If you would like to help in any way, please contact the church office.

This past Sunday, we began our summer series, “Summer on the Mount.” The text from Matthew 5:1–12 was our focus on the Beatitudes, which emphasize transformative teachings that redefine what it means to be "blessed" in God's Kingdom. The sermon highlighted that true happiness stems from humility, mercy, and a longing for righteousness rather than worldly success or status. Each Beatitude illustrates the radical nature of God's grace, showing that blessings are bestowed upon those who are marginalized or persecuted. The message encouraged believers to embody these values in their lives, fostering humility, reconciliation, and mercy in a society that often overlooks such qualities.

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are those who mourn,

For they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek,

For they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

For they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful,

For they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart,

For they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers,

For they shall be called sons of God.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

—Matthew 5:3-12 NKJV

I encourage you to keep the beatitudes in your heart and let them be values you live by, so that you may see the blessings of God in your life daily.

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor Brandon
