John 1:29-42
Week 3: Onward

Pastor Kenny Baskins

The key thought we must consider is: How do people “find” Jesus?

Often, we hesitate to acknowledge our own lostness, but the truth is that it is Jesus who ultimately "finds" us. There are three primary ways in which we are found by Him: first, through a dramatic act of revelation that opens our hearts to His presence; second, through the witness of others who share their faith and experiences; and third, while living a Christian life that reflects His teachings. In many instances, God employs all these methods to guide us toward Him. As the church, we have been entrusted with the vital responsibility of helping others to be “found” by Jesus, as outlined in Matthew 28:18-20.

This leads us to two important questions to reflect upon:

Have I been found by Jesus?

And am I actively participating in helping Jesus find others?

These questions challenge us to evaluate our own faith journey and our role in the mission of the church.
