In this sermon, we conclude our "Becoming" series and look to Romans 12:1–8. Paul teaches that becoming more like Jesus begins with surrender and a renewed mind. Spiritual growth does not happen accidentally; it requires intentionally walking with God, studying His Word, praying, and obeying Him.
We are also reminded that we grow in community. God has given each believer unique gifts to serve others, reach the world, and build up the body of Christ. As we mature, we move from simply receiving to investing in others.
The sermon shared our pathway at St. James to make disciples who make disciples through our Grow Classes, which provide a pathway for this journey: Walk with God, Reach Your World, and Invest in a Few. The goal is not merely to become better Christians, but to become disciples who help others follow Jesus.
