In Week 2 of our generosity series, we explore Jesus’ Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14–30. God entrusts each of us with gifts, abilities, experiences, and opportunities—not so we can compare ourselves with others or keep everything safely tucked away, but so we can put those gifts to work for the good of others and the glory of God.
The faithful servants didn’t receive the same amount, but they each received the same commendation: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Their example reminds us that God isn’t asking us to have someone else’s gifts. He’s calling us to faithfully use what we’ve been given. What gifts has God placed in your hands, and how might you use them to serve?
